Why does my dog get diarrhea?
- Feed change
- Eating garbage or indigestible food
- Medications or worming treatments
- Parasites, viruses or bacteria
- Stress, e.g. when traveling or visiting the vet
- Allergies or food intolerances
First aid for diarrhea
1. Feeding break (12–24 hours)
Give your bowels a break – but always offer fresh water !
2. Feed a light diet
After the break:
- Cooked rice
- Boiled chicken
- Some carrots or potatoes
3. Natural support
